Bettmersee (lake)
The lake is at its most beautiful before sundown: Quiet and peaceful, the lake nestles in a gently undulating hilly landscape only 10 minutes away from the village center. Just right for a short romantic stroll.
An easy trail (stroller accessible) leads around the lake, where you will pass fishers and BBQ areas. You can rent a boat if you feel like having a row on the lake or, if you don't mind cold water, take a refreshing dip in the lake. The boat hire station is open daily from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. from mid-June until mid-October (weather permitting).
There's also a jetty, providing an inviting place to stock up on some sunshine. The area around the lake offers a paddling pool for kids and a beach volleyball court where sports fans can let off steam.

From Saturday, June 8 to Saturday, October 19, 2013 it is possible to fish in Bettmersee (lake). No fishing on Thursdays.
Fishing licenses are available at the Tourist Office, in the boathouse and in the community office:
One-day license: CHF 20.00
One-week license: CHF 50.00
Season license: CHF 160.00
By the way: the lake festival takes place every summer (last weekend in July). This is a fun event with music, food and games.
